Starkville Clinic Open House
Right Track Medical Group was joined by the Starkville community as they celebrated the opening of the Starkville clinic at 100 Starr Ave., Suite A, Tuesday, Oct. 15. A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was hosted by Right Track Medical Group and the Greater Starkville Development Partnership.
Right Track Medical Group is now accepting appointments for medication management, psychiatric assessments and private mental-health counseling at its Starkville clinic, located near Oby’s restaurant at 100 Starr Ave., Suite A.
The Starkville clinic is the fifth location for Right Track Medical Group, which also sees patients in Tupelo, Corinth, Olive Branch and Oxford. Its staff include psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and licensed therapists.
“In Mississippi, access to outpatient mental health care is limited,” said Dr. Stephen Pannel, psychiatrist and Chief Medical Officer of Right Track Medical Group. “Our goal is to help by providing easy access to comprehensive mental-health services.”
The Starkville clinic will also serve patients throughout the Golden Triangle area, including Columbus, West Point, Louisville, Eupora and Ackerman.
Right Track Medical Group offers a physician-led approach to treating anxiety, depression and other common mental-health disorders on an outpatient basis. Its model is designed to help before a mental illness reaches a crisis level, when inpatient treatment can be necessary.
The clinic is suited to treat patients of all ages, from children to adults.
Right Track Medical Group is also poised to serve the nearby student population at Mississippi State University, said Sallie Dalton, PMHNP-BC, advanced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
“National statistics show that around 33 percent of incoming freshmen have undiagnosed mental health conditions, ranging from anxiety and depression to other common issues,” she said. “We want to see these students get the care they need, so they can thrive during their years here in college.”
Right Track Medical Group’s services include psychiatric evaluation and medication management, as well as short-term individual and family therapy, and coping skills groups.
